- Versatile Use: Perfect for both land and water activities, thanks to its floating capability.

Cons

Comparison
When comparing the LaRoo Dog Ring Toy with similar products on the market, a few key points stand out. For instance, the LaRoo toy is designed to last, even with aggressive chewers, unlike other toys that may fall apart quickly. While some competitors offer toys made from harder materials, these can be harsh on a dog's mouth, whereas the LaRoo ring is soft yet durable. Another competing product may be cheaper, but it often lacks the eco-friendly assurance provided by LaRoo.
Product | Durability | Material | Price |
LaRoo Dog Ring Toy | High | Eco-friendly, Non-toxic | Moderate |
Competitor A | Medium | Rubber | Low |
Competitor B | Low | Plastic | Low |

How to Use
Using the LaRoo Dog Ring Toy is straightforward and designed to ensure maximum enjoyment for both you and your dog. Simply throw the ring using an overhand motion to achieve maximum distance. Its lightweight nature and aerodynamic design help it glide through the air effortlessly.
For water play, toss the ring into a pool or lake. Its buoyancy ensures it floats, providing an exciting challenge for your dog to retrieve. Always supervise your pet during playtime to ensure safety and maximize the toy’s lifespan.

Conclusion
In summary, the LaRoo Dog Ring Toy is a versatile, durable, and eco-friendly option for dog owners looking to keep their pets entertained and fit. While it may not be completely indestructible, it offers exceptional durability for most dogs, especially compared to many other toys on the market. Its versatility in both land and water settings makes it a worthwhile investment for active dogs and their owners.

Amazingly Durable! August 6, 2025 Color: Green-LVerified Purchase We have had this toy for, 4 years now? And it has held up to so much tugging! Bought on a recommendation from a friend who has an even tougher tugger than our dog. This thing is crazy! It's soft and bendable, so it has a bunch of teeth marks in it, but it has held its shape. Totally worth it!

Fun for the Avid Chewer and Fetcher June 26, 2024 Color: Green-MVerified Purchase Click to play video We bought this product because we had one of those disc style frisbees that she absolutely loved and chewed to pieces. She seemed to like that she could get her head and paw through the last one, so despite the fact that she is only 8.5lbs, we purchased her the larger model. I wish it was a little bit thinner as it would be easier for her to maneuver, but size wise she can handle it. I realize it’s meant for a much larger dog than ours is. She can fit completely through it without getting stuck and it is just small enough that she can carry it around. She absolutely loves this thing and although it does have bite marks, it is holding up really well. She is a Shih Tzu mix, but loves chewing and fetching so much, and this toy is up for the task at hand. Currently her favorite toy! Customer image

Works well. May 20, 2022 Color: Orange-LVerified Purchase Seems to be durable. The only issue is the weight and how far it can be thrown. My dogs have not tore it apart yet but likely will. Their teeth dig into the macerals leaving indentations and will eventually weaken the structure and it will fall apart, but getting some good use in the mean time. 3 people found this helpful

Material upgraded for aggressive chewers, more durable February 21, 2025 Color: Orange-MVerified Purchase This is one of our dog's favorite thrashing toys when something drives him nuts, yes he's a little crazy! It's light, soft, and squishy and he absolutely loves chasing, fetching, and tugging with it. The new one we bought took a bit to break in, but he has it just where he wants it now and it's far more durable than its predecessor. (Pictures: Aztek playing with original toy bought summer 2022; Original toy with duct tape repair; New replacement, modeling replacement 2025) The new one we purchased is tougher and maybe a bit less squishy, but with use has become one of his go to toys. We would highly recommend it to others, it also floats, however I'd note if the ring is too large your pups paw/leg could get caught in it when retrieving, as ours has done a time or two on land. (Note: Tape repair had continued to keep his old toy in playable order but has since been disposed of. Tape not recommended if your dog would eat it, ours eats mud not tape.) Dog loves it! Fun, versatile toy! August 20, 2021 Color: Green-LVerified Purchase Click to play video We love this ring! Great for catch and tug. Our 27 lb Border Aussie cross can also crawl through the large size, and does a trick where he puts his paws in and dives his head through, then wears it around his middle. He can also take it off. It is a great toy for dogs to play with little kids because it is softish and keeps a nice space between teeth and hands during tug games. The foam is pretty durable and ours is still in good shape a year or so in (it has lots of teeth marks but that is expected). Our dog is not super destructive with his toys, though. The downside of the softness is that I don’t see it holding up with a big league chewer, but it is one of our all time favorites! 2 people found this helpful

Lightweight but not durable. July 22, 2020 Color: Green-LVerified Purchase This is super lightweight and large. It’s seemed like a durable foam but it is not. My dog had it for two minutes and she was able to start tearing it apart. I would recommend this toy for fetch at the beach or lake only. I would not give this to your pup to simply play with and possibly chew on. They could very easily break it up and ingest the pieces. Not for chewers. I was bummed i pie almost $20 for something that didn’t last 2min. Customer image Customer image 10 people found this helpful

June 11, 2020 Color: Green-LAmazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? ) UPDATE: Definitely not for any chewer, even if they are not aggressive. This toy is actually dangerous because it’s too big. The dogs where getting it stuck around a leg and then having a hard time swimming and walking which was dangerous. Other than that our golden loved it as he would carry it with 2 other toys. I don’t recommend because of the leg hazard, it’s not durable plus it’s expensive.
ORIGINAL: This dog toy is great for the water as it floats and its easy to see. You can throw it like a frisbee and it goes pretty far. It’s very light weight. Our golden is going to destroy this toy because it’s like a foam. It’s not hard or a hard dense rubber. I love the bright color as it is easy to see. Unfortunately this toy is not going to tolerate any chewing what so ever! Our golden loves the water and retrieving toys in the pool. I won’t be able to let him lay down with this one but unfortunately I know it will happen while in the yard or at the beach. I wish it was made from a more durable rubber. Reading about the 4 years of tugging durability for this LaRoo ring is incredible! Can anyone confirm if it washes up easily too? My dog's toys get pretty grubby, and I'm hoping this one is as low-maintenance as it is tough.
I'm organizing a 'Doggy Olympics' event next month, and the Orange 30cm LaRoo ring would be perfect for our themed games! Is the orange color really vibrant in person, and how quickly did yours ship? Need to make sure it arrives in time!
For those who mentioned the weight affecting how far the LaRoo flying ring can be thrown, any tips or techniques for getting maximum distance? I'd love to make fetch even more dynamic for my energetic pup!
My pit mix absolutely obliterates 'chew-proof' toys. The review mentioning 'teeth marks but held its shape' gives me hope for the LaRoo ring. For aggressive chewers, how deep do the teeth marks go, and has anyone experienced actual pieces breaking off over extended heavy use?
I've seen comments about the LaRoo ring being soft and bendable, which sounds great for my dog's teeth. But does it genuinely hold its circular shape over time, even with a strong tugger? I've had other 'durable' toys get stretched and misshapen pretty quickly and I want to avoid that.
After reading about the amazing durability for aggressive chewers and how much dogs love this LaRoo ring, I'm almost sold. Does it float well for water play too, as the summary mentioned? Hoping to replace all our flimsy frisbees with this!
