When inevitably eventually caked in fur, the fur doesnt always release in the wash. So best to clean up as you go so by the time it needs to be washed it wont create flat fur blobs that cant be removed. We have found it easier to toss and repurchase when that has happened.While soft and cozy feeling and all cats have been attracted to these beds, they have always been used on top of other soft landings. I dont think I would want it for use on the floor. We also have dogs. If I bought a size for my dogs, I would be putting it on top of an existing bed or sleep spot. That is fine, just know what these are good for. I just dont think there is enough support, especially for bigger dogs. This is soft buy not supportive. Just a little more lush than a plain floor.. which some dogs like. Again, just know what you are getting it for.
I have purchased probably 10 of these so far for the cats. They do eventually flatten out a bit and benefit from replacement. I think I started buying this about 5 years ago. If used every single day, you will notice them flattening out. Though not a big deal if used on top of another bed or couch etc.

Cat (18”): My cat is a pretty small cat, so I’m a bit surprised this bed is a bit too small for him. (When he curls up, he fits pretty well, but it doesn’t give him extra room to stretch.) I purposely bought the small bed though because it was so inexpensive and my husband was convinced my cat wouldn’t use it (he doesn’t care for anything you buy for him, but if it’s free and garbage, he’ll obsess over it). To my surprise, my cat sleeps on this bed ALL THE TIME. He goes straight to it; we call it his charging pod. We joke that there must be a stash of catnip stuffed in the cushion somewhere because he has never cared for a bed before. Even when we move the bed to a different location, he will go right to it. We almost wish that we went a size bigger, but knowing our cat, that exra pampering would actually turn him off. So, if our cat is happy with the purchase, we are happy!Dog (36”): This bed fit perfectly in my dog’s crate, and my dog seems very comfortable on it. The only issue I have is that the bed seems to have sunken down where she likes to lay. She’s a small dog (~20lbs), so it’s a bit disappointing. Maybe when she comes in wet from the rain, the moisture flattens the bed because my cat’s bed has not flattened. I’m hoping it refluffs when I throw it in the wash. Overall, the fabric is a very soft texture and there seems to be enough padding that provides just enough comfort from the hardness of the floor. My dog seems to love it, but then again, she loves any type of comfort.
Overall, it’s been a good (and super affordable!) buy for both pets. The main selling point for me is that it’s washable, but I still have to give that a try.

Very lightweight, but durable, soft, and thick. The dogs love them. December 29, 2014 Color: GraySize: 30 inchVerified Purchase I purchased two of these, one for each of my 25 pound terriers. They were much lighter weight than I was expecting, but with a week's use so far, they seem much more durable than I first thought. My dogs are "diggers" and dig around in the pad to "nest". They also love playing with these things, chewing on them, and flipping them up and around in the air. So far, I can't tell any sign of wear and tear on these ... no ripping of the seams, no fraying of the fabric or anything.
As mentioned, they are much less dense and heavy than I was expecting .... I have the 29" by 21", and I'd say each weighs only a pound. But they are very "fluffy" and the filling keeps the pads about 3" thick. The top and sides are covered with very soft, fuzzy fabric; the back is a non-fabric surface. I think it was designed to be non-slip, by my dogs pull these things all over our hardwood floors (which they did with the beds I replaced).I really like that you can throw the entire bed into the washer and dryer .... I will update this review once I wash them, but that was the problem with their old beds ... the covers came off and could be washed, but not the inner core, which still ended up getting really "doggy-dirty".
UPDATE --- Now that I've washed these pads several times, I continue to be very pleased with their quality. The entire pad goes right into the washer and dryer. I was able to put both of mine (small size) into the washer (as well as the dryer) at once. These wash up beautifully, and come out super soft. And the washing/drying makes the pads' thickness/fluffiness/loft return. And what really interested me was that there was basically no lint from them!

Not a good idea for puppies and other pets who are not house-trained yet. My puppy peed on it. Washing this thing was a chore. You have to have a non-agitating washing machine...don't have one, so it had to be washed by hand. Getting the water out was a pain, rolling and squeezing it to get most of the water out. It took three days to dry. Because the urine smell must have still been in there, she peed on it again. I had to throw it away. The cover needs to have a zipper, and the pad needs to be protected from liquids.

I had put it away for awhile but it did wash well and I am using it once again. No tears of any kind, but my pups would not directly scratch on it often since I would top it with a doggy blanket. After various washes from vomit and the off-accident, the non-skid dots at the bottom have come off. I would see them inside the washer or in the crate (24 inch). Perhaps it did shrink over time, as I would put it in the dryer on low; I say this because it doesn’t cover the entire tray of the crate and I do not recall if it did when I first got it. It’s pretty flat too now, not too cushiony which is why I would put a blanket on top (for reference, my pups are around 10-12lbs). For what it cost four years ago (13.99) it has been good and I still use it. Thanks.

One Out of the Three is Flat December 30, 2014 Color: MochaSize: 36 inchVerified Purchase I've bought three of these. Two last year and one this year. All three different sizes. The first two worked out fine. My Jack Russell Terrier loves hers. She's slept on it for a year now and she sleeps on it today. As far as I know, the other bed has held up too. I got it for my Miniature Pincher but she decided she wanted to go to the bathroom on it, so before she soiled it up too badly I gave it to my mother for her dogs to use. The latest bed is the one I have a problem with. I bought it for my 50-ish pound American Staffordshire Terrier. I thought it'd be a great bed for him. He's a dog that likes a lot of comfort. And as far as he's concerned, I do think that he likes it. The problem I have with the bed is that it's going flat. I bought it on December 7th and it's now December 30th. I never would have expected a bed to flatten out so quickly. The middle of it where he lays the most barely has any cushion left (as you can see in the picture). If I didn't have an older bed underneath, I don't know that it'd be very comfortable for him.
Now I'm not really sure what to think about this. My other two beds haven't gone flat. Is it because he's a bigger dog and weighs more? Maybe. The bed itself is very soft, with a medium amount of cushion. It has little grippers on the bottom, so not to slide on hardwood or tiled flooring. I liked the beds I got last year, but because of what happened with the one this year, I have to knock off a couple of stars. It doesn't seem like the bed holds up very long for a big dog that sleeps on it daily.Customer image

No loops or loose fluff to get tangled up in and it's a great value for the money (add-on price was around $8 for the 24"). I haven't had to wash the bed yet, but I like that I can put the whole bed into the washing machine and there's no cover to fuss with.
I purchased these specifically for my cat carriers that only get used about 3-4 times a year. I was most interested in the non-slip backing for traveling. The non-slip feature (bottom is covered in 'dots' of non-slip material - think of the bottom of fabric slippers - not rubbery, but not slippery). The bed isn't all that non-slip against the slick plastic of the carrier, but they do stay put while traveling and I'm not concerned about the safety of my cats. I think the non-slip is meant more for non-plastic surfaces like tile and wood flooring where I think it will perform well.The cats don't dislike the beds, but aren't really interested in them either. I left the beds out for a few days prior to placing in the carriers and they were neutral about them. They'd walk across them and lay against them, but never lay directly on them. The beds are probably too fancy for my 'pile of clothes on the floor' kind of cats. They'd be just as happy in a mess of blankets and stinky socks in the carrier, but I'm certain the Vet wouldn't be all too thrilled with that set up. In any case, my concern about sliding around the carrier is resolved, in a socially acceptable, non-stinky sock kind of way, and I am pleased with my purchase.

The last dog bed you’ll ever buy June 9, 2019 Color: MochaSize: 36 inchVerified Purchase Two years later, this has been pooped on, barfed on, accompanied us thousands of miles on dozens of trips, been slept on every single night (after much digging, scuffling and turning around to get it just right), and been machine washed and dried probably at least 30 times..... and it’s fine. Stuffing is still where it was originally. It’s 90% as soft as it was brand new. It smells fine. No holes, ever. Dog beds usually last us about 3 months, maybe 9 if the cover is removable, so it’s absolutely crazy that we have had this two years now. But this thing just keeps going and going and going. I would say the plush level is right between a memory foam dog bed and a standard, thin kennel pad—so the perfect in-between level that’s comfortable even on concrete but still lightweight and easy to bring wherever. It washes and dries fantastically. It’s so great to throw the whole thing in the washer with hot water and know that it’s getting completely clean inside. I can’t possibly say enough good things about this dog bed, and it’s not even very expensive. Amazing value. I’m sure we’ll get a few more years out of this but please don’t ever stop making them!
***UPDATE***It has now been three years since we bought these, and despite daily use and probably 50 washes, they're fine. About 75% as fluffy/poofy as they ever were, still an even distribution of stuffing, no rips or tears, everything is totally fine. In fact, I'm getting a little bored with them and for the first time in my entire life I may just buy new ones out of preference rather than necessity. I can't speak highly enough about these!!

I have two dogs (a pink one that weighs about 25 lbs. and a blue one that weighs about 55 lbs.) who are not inside dogs, contrary to what they believe. They do come in for cold nights and we have hardwood floors that can become very chilly very quickly. For years and years I've been going to the local thrift shops and buying quilts, blankets, etc. to use as their winter beds. They're cheap and I can throw them away without feeling like I'm wasting money. Last year for Christmas I decided to buy them proper dog beds. Amazon had these beds on the black Friday sale (I don't recall the price) so I bought two. I bought the 29" x 21" for both of them thinking they would be plenty big enough, but not sure since Amazon did not put any information about what size dog each bed size is most suitable for. This size is perfect for my 25 lb. pink one (Mini Australian Shepherd) but not so much for my 55 lb. blue one (Standard Australian Shepherd). He can fit on it but is about a head too long, so now I have to order two more in a larger size. Two because I know my pink one and she will take the bigger bed every time if they're different sizes. As far as the quality, they've been sleeping on the over a month and still have plenty of oomph in them. The gray is great for hiding dirt and hairs. She's been with us for more than a few years now, but I've noticed that she's not sleeping as soundly during the day since we moved to a new house. I decided to get a crate for her to see if it'd help her feel more comfortable to have her own space.When I received it, I made a little bed out of a very fluffy throw blanket for her to sleep on. While it was very plush, I thought it be better for her to have an actual mattress/pillow to rest her little body on. The crate I purchased is made by MidWest so I thought it made sense to try one of their crate beds since it would probably fit perfectly.
It does fit the crate perfectly and is full and fluffy. The bottom has little rubber beads to keep it in place so it won't slide around in the crate or on the floor. The top and sides are covered with the softest material you could possibly imagine. Seriously. You will be so pleased with how soft it is.
Daisy snuggled right into it when we put it in her crate and seems to really enjoy it. She digs a bit and makes her little nest and snuggles down. It seems very comfortable and cozy for her.
The price was fair and quality seems excellent so fair. I'm really happy with it and Daisy is, too!

The color looks just like the product photo June 25, 2016 Color: GraySize: 18 inchVerified Purchase I got this bed to replace the bed that my cats used to use, because the old one didn't fit the stool that the bed was sitting on. I ordered the 17x11 inch one to put on the stool so my cat can sleep in his usual spot. The color looks just like the product photo, but my photos were taken with my cellphone, so the colors aren't as vibrant as they are in real life.
The bottom has the black material with the "beads" on it to keep it from slipping, but does not really work on the surface the bed is sitting on so I cut a little bit of the non-slip rug pad underneath it to keep it in place.As for the thickness of the bed, it seems alright. Hobbes (the one on the bed in the photos) is my smaller kitties, he is about 9 pounds and is pretty long and he fits on it pretty well without it flattening out too much. If my fat cat (14 pounds) were to lay on it I would expect it to flatten pretty quick.
I haven't had it long enough to need to wash it yet, but it's stitched pretty well. I would recommend hand washing it and letting it sit out to dry. Others have complained about it falling apart after washing it.
It would have gotten 5 stars had it been just a little bit thicker, but Hobbes seems to like it, so I have no real complaints either!

He is a medium size dog that loves to move around while sleeping so we got him the XL size. He absolutely LOVES that bed! Not too plush but very soft to the touch. The only down side, is that it does not have a zipper to take out the cushion and wash the cover. It says it’s machine washable but the problem I have with not being able to remove the cushion is that when you wash the whole thing, the filling tends to become lumpy and to put it back to how it was might require some massaging and work. Wish I would’ve checked this out before because our dog being a senior dog, he discharges a lot of natural smelly oils as an older dog, which means I’ll be doing a lot of hand washing, as I tend to wash his bed before I give him his weekly bath (yes, weekly! versus every three weeks when he was younger) because the bed gets sticky too. Putting a cover over it helps a bit but only does the trick for two weeks. it is a very soft pad and fits my dog's 42in create fine. but she doesn't seem to like it, not as much as my other dogs.i got this pad because the old white fleece with the bolstered trim that i am sure you are all familiar with got so threadbare it was practically nothing. the dog that occupies that crate is about to go on extended crate rest (hw treatment) and i wanted to get her something more comfortable and thought this would be a good fit.
as mentioned, it's very soft. dare i say... too soft? it's hard for my big dog to walk into the pad without having the pillow lining shift around under her paws which i think throws her off. it does not maintain any kind of structural integrity so it tends to bunch up in the crate or sag between the stuffing. i wish there were straps that kept it in place because the non slip lining does not help any and i feel that would solve a lot of the issues we're having with this bed.
my other dogs love it though. i feel like this design would work best for small/lightweight breeds and not so much the larger sizes.

I thought the price was right and it might give her a nice pad to lay on in her kennel or by the fridge when we have her tied up because we’re not able to keep an eye on her. I put the one on the floor by the fridge and within 5 minutes she was chewing on the tag and the seam ripped open by it so she was able to pull stuffing out. The one in the kennel lasted over 2 months before she finally chewed where the tag was (I had cut it off with a scissors to deter that action). The seam there also came apart, which resulted in lots of loose stuffing in her kennel. They’re still usable for the most part as long as I let another dog use them who is not interested in the stuffing, but what I liked about them originally was I could throw then in our front load washer occasionally and wash them when they start to smell. That is no longer an option with the open seams. I will probably try my hand at sewing the seam up and see if it lasts. However, the backing itself seems very thin, enough you can see light through it fairly easy. So for the price I paid I’ll give one star (less than 10 for a 21x12 bed). For the looks, topside material, and how well the padding has held up to being lain on, I’ll give another star. And for being easy to maintain potentially, I’ll give a third star. These will probably work much better for an older dog or one who’s not so into chewing on everything in sight, which may bring this up to 4 or 5 stars for those people. But for my purposes I am docking the last 2 stars for durability/construction quality. Seriously, the first one had a separated seam in 5 minutes of being opened and put on the floor. I feel like the bed has been lowering quality lately; a few major issues have always been a problem. May 12, 2025 Color: GraySize: 42 inchVerified Purchase I first bought one of these beds a few years ago. It was ok, had a few draw back but not too terrible. I purchased it for my dogs crate. The padding seems to be non existent now, super thin, almost no difference between the bed and the floor. Another major problem that has been an issue since the first is that if the bed is washed, there are thousands of little rubber beads on the bottom for traction, (they don't help) and these beads wash off in the washer even on delicate with a cold wash. I can't recommend these beds anymore to be honest. The beads need to be removed immediately, they plug up the washer and get all over everything you wash for weeks after cleaning it, and the cushion is just minimal compared to before. I was going to give 2 stars just because it does provide some padding, but if I am going to throw it away to buy a new one just after a month, and have had to throw multiple of them away over the years due to the same issue, it isn't worth giving two stars unfortunately. Hopefully they remove the rubber beads, it is a terrible feature that does nothing good and causes major issues, but this one is going into the garbage and I will be buying a new one so unfortunately it's 1/5. 2 people found this helpful

The bed got here on time, but the crate didn't. As soon as the bed came out of the packaging, he attacked it. He loves the corners, and he treats them like they owe him money. I doubt the bed will hold up over time with as rough as he is, but I don't even care. Without the crate here, the pup had to spend his first night baby-gated in the kitchen - with his new bed. I owe this bed 100% credit for how easily he has taken to crate-training. The time he had with it before the crate arrived really helped to give him a sense of comfort and security. When the crate came the next say, in the bed went, and so did he. He is happy and excited to go in, so long as his bed is in there. So if he tears it up, I will buy another. And another. It is his absolute favorite...no whines or cries when he's put in his crate. He seems to love it and it seems very comfy for him. He just curls up or stretches out and sleeps so soundly. It does not shed. The best part is it can be washed AND dried!!! This is why I purchased it! When you are crate training and house braking a puppy you need something easy to clean. Wash on cold and put in the dryer on low heat. We have washed ours 4 or 5 times and it is just like new when it comes out of the dryer. It is like a fluffy pillow. I was lucky enough to check one of these out in person prior to purchasing it. I went with Amazon because I was able to get it for about $20 cheaper. This can be used with the divider sitting on it and it doesn't hurt the bed. I will definitely purchase another when this one gives out.
